About ASCHT 2017

The Asian Symposium on Computational Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow (ASCHT) was organized in Xi’an, China, in 2007 with the intention of encouraging scientific and technical cooperation and exchange among Asian countries. The forum is held every two years to activate not only scientific and technical communication but also to promote friendship among members. The 6th ASCHT will be held at the IC&SR Auditorium, IIT Madras, India, from 10th to 13th Dec 2017. This conference is the sixth in the series of biennial symposia that started in Xi’an, China (2007), and were subsequently held in Jeju, Korea (2009), Kyoto, Japan (2011), Hong Kong, China (2013) and Busan, Korea (2015).

This conference has emerged as an international forum for presentation, exchange of ideas and creation of knowledge in various aspects of computational methods in fluid and thermal sciences. Theoretical aspects of computation along with important applications will be covered. The symposium includes invited keynote lectures by distinguished experts from across the globe. There will be plenary and keynote sessions and a large number of parallel technical sessions spread over the conference period. It will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, research institutions and industry to exchange experiences, disseminate up-to-date information, and explore new opportunities in the field. In particular, it will expose young and new researchers to the state-of-the-art in the field. The organizers sincerely believe that the 6th Asian Symposium on Computational Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow-2017 (ASCHT2017) will stimulate researchers while furthering cooperation among investigators in the field of thermo-fluid sciences and engineering.
